History was made in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas, as the Wild West Motorsports Park began its inaugural races, marking a new era for off-road racing in Reno, NV. With over 100ft of elevation, the 1.2 mile track features four turns, five primary jumps (two of which make the old ski-jump at Chula Vista look like a cake walk), a new style rhythm section and massive custom built stands to make the new track in Reno the most spectacular short course track built to date. It was these unique features that gave Mad Media Director of Photography, Vincent Knakal, a new creative perspective and opportunity to shoot short course off-road in a new way.
