Identity
Jessup was the first and only brand of grip tape to market directly to skateboarders back in the early 1980’s. Almost three decades later, they felt their product needed a fresh look that would appeal to the next generation of skaters, but that also paid homage to their history. We created a new identity that has the weight of the infamous “Independent” Logo, and transcends action sports as a symbol of the rebellious roots of skateboarding.
