Off-road racing is hard. No matter what level you are racing at, or how much money you do or don’t have. Sometimes just getting to the race is a challenge, let alone finishing, or winning. The team of  Jay Reichert and his partner Charles Dorrance may be rookies in the trophy truck class, but collectively they have years of off-road racing experience. They threw everything they had at this years Baja 1000 and got it handed to them ending in a catastrophic parts failure that could not be repaired in order to complete the race. But that’s what makes off-road racing so attractive, the fact that when you do win you know you earned it. Don’t worry R&D Motorsports will be back for the more in 2014!
