THE MINT 400 GET SCHOOLED CONTEST
Get Schooled by the Mint! The guys were feeling a little left out with all this Miss Mint insanity. So we created a contest that the men can enter (women are welcome to enter too). We’re giving away some really amazing stuff check it out and then make sure you enter! What’s the catch? 1. You MUST Like Fab School – Like Tim O’Neil Rally School – Like Maxima Race Oil – Like Fox Shocks 2. You MUST be over 18. 3. You MUST BE AT THE RACE.
1st – Wins a 6 month semester (200 hours) at Fab School where you will learn Tube Bending, notching, patter design, chassis design, MIG, TIG welding and sheet metal work.
2nd – Wins a 2 Day Rally School Course from Tim O’neil Rally School. Learn how to control your vehicle at speed in race and street applications from the pros who know. Everyone thinks they are good driver, until they get schooled by the real deal.
3rd – Wins a Fox Shocks prize package including A Certificate for (4) FOX Performance Series IFP Shocks, FOX Tee Shirt, and FOX Sticker kit.

This year we’re taking things to a whole new level, with a Trick Truck Parade, Pit Crew Challenge, Parties and Events all week long. Don’t forget about the big race on Saturday. 2012 GENERAL TIRE MINT 400 LIMITED EDITION ARTIST POSTER
The Martelli Brothers are proud to present The 2012 General Tire Mint 400 Limited Edition Artist Poster! This years poster features the work of artist Jeral Tidwell of Human Tree – and includes a thrilling image of off-road racer Mikey Childress launching his Class 1 vehicle as originally captured by Mad Media’s Director of Photography, Vincent Knakal. Jeral Tidwell is know for his modern take on classic iconic motorsports imagery including skulls, pin-stripes, and pin-up girls – all laid against killer old school hot rods. This years poster pays tribute to the Mint 400’s thirty plus years of racing history with a nod to both the racers of the past and the present.
These custom 24×32 inch three-color hand screened works of art, are being printed on heavy archival quality acid-free manila cover stock. Each print will be signed and numbered by the artist. Only four hundred prints will be made – making these posters extremely rare collectors items valued at $150 each. Each of this years Mint 400 teams will receive one poster – with the remaining limited stock to be sold on here.
In addition to the main poster run, a very special edition of “variants” will be made with a different color paper and ink, for sponsors and VIP’s of the Mint. A mere fifty variants will be created, and will be signed by both the Artist and The Martelli Brothers. The 2012 General Tire Mint 400 variants are valued at $250 each and will not be available for sale.

The famous Miss Mint 400 competition is back for its 4th consecutive year, bigger, brighter and better! The top prize has been raised to a whopping $5,000 dollars and the lucky winner joins the likes of past winners like Vanna White of TV game show fame and The super-powered Linda Carter. Girls from across the country will compete for the Miss Mint 400 crown, which brings with it the prestigious Miss Mint title, a prize package, national exposure and a professional photo shoot.
OAKLEY DROPPING BOMBS AND WATCHES
For the first time ever in Desert Off-Road Racing the prestigious Oakley Bomb Award is being given out to the racers clocking the fastest lap at the 2012 Mint 400. Drivers in three different classes will take home a heavy duty “bomb” trophy of their own to commemorate their scorching lap time.
The Oakley Bomb Award has traditionally been given out to short course off-road racers however Oakley is exciting to allow the Desert drivers a chance to test their mettle and show what they can do over challenging terrain of the 2012 Mint 400 course. Drivers can get their “Bomb” by nuking the rest of the field and throwing down a top lap time in one of the three clases listed below:
